Marc Sroufe, General Manager
Marc is from Mt. Pleasant, MI and received his B.S. in Marketing from CMU.  His active resume includes being the President of Championship Sports, Founder & Chairperson of Central Basketball Club, Vice-President of Mindworks Sports, National Director of USSSA Basketball, and is the Vice Chair of AAU Girl’s Basketball.  Marc believes his family, working with youth, and the sport of basketball to be very important to him.

Ken Hisey, Facility Manager
Ken has lived in Mount Pleasant for the majority of his adult life. He arrived in 1973 as a walk-on defensive end for CMU’s football team. He completetd his B.S. from CMU with a teaching degree in physical education and math. Ken spent thirty plus years at the legendary Embers Restaurant where he started in the kitchen while attending college and ended his career as the General Manager. Ken has a deep rooted love for sports and family. He has helped coach Mount Pleasant and Beal City volleyballl since his daughter introduced him to the sport in 2000.

Brian Lechel, Program Coordinator
Brian’s hometown is Saginaw, MI. He is a recent graduate with a B.A.A in Commercial/Community Recreation from CMU. His previous experience includes work with Bridgeport Parks and Recreation as the Assistant Programmer and the Great Lakes Loons inaugural season as a Section Leader. One unique fact about Brian is that he has two twelve inch titanium rods in his back!

Caity Sweet, Facility Supervisor
Caity is from Remus, MI and is a Junior at CMU.  She is majoring in Anthropology and plans to go to graduate school for Archaeology. Caity has coached 11u and 15u girl’s AAU Basketball in the past. She enjoys barrel racing with her horse and is one of the few people who can lick her elbow.

Erin Lenhart, Fitness Center Lead Exercise Physiologist
Erin’s hometown is Barryton, MI. She received her B.S. in Kinesiology from University of Hawaii @ Manoa and has an ACSM Personal Trainer Certification. One unique fact about Erin is that she spent the Summer of 2005 on a tall ship with Sea Education Association from Honolulu to San Francisco.

 Kyle Mason, Fitness Specialist
Kyle’s hometown is Mt. Pleasant, MI. His education includes a B.S. Degree in Recreation Leadership & Management/ Corporate Fitness and Wellness. He previously worked at the Michigan Athletic Club (Grand Rapids), East Hills Athletic Club, and the Fitness Specialist at Wellness Central. One unique fact about Kyle is that he may be one of the few people that is NOT on Facebook.

 

Landon Revord, Fitness Specialist 
Landon’s hometown is Standish, MI. His education includes an A.S. in Biology. He also has an A.A.S in Health & Fitness, is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and is an ACE Group Fitness Instructor. Previous Experience includes: 1 year of Personal Training, being an Assistant Instructor @ Delta College, and being a Specialist @ Wellness Central. One unique fact about Landon is that he may be the only 22 year old that has never sent a text message.

Leslie Disalvo, Fitness Specialist
Leslie is from Eaton, OH and received her B.S. degree in Health and Fitness from CMU. She previously has been an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, a Personal Trainer at “Competitor’s Edge” and “Courtside Racquet and Fitness Club” in Ithaca, NY, and Fitness Coordinator for Cardiac Rehabilitation-Cortland Regional Medical Center in Cortland, NY. Leslie is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has two Jack Russell Terriers named Jacks and Jade.

 

 

Christy Miiller, Fitness Specialist
Christy’s hometown is Mt. Pleasant, MI. She received her B.S. in Health and Fitness. She has been an Exercise Physiologist since October 2008. One unique fact about Christy is that her last name is spelles with two i’s (Miiller).

RaeAnn Barks, Kids’ Recreation Resort
RaeAnn is from St. Johns, MI and is a Sophmore at CMU. She
is currently working on B.S.W. in Social Work and a Minor in
Family Studies and Human Sexuality. Her future plan is to
open a youth center for after school programs and homework
help when she finishes her degree at CMU. Her previous
experience includes Childcare at Clinton County Family
Resource Center
and watching Latchkey children in homes
after school. One unique fact about RaeAnn is she started
her own service project called “Project Pack Your Bags” when
she was nine years old.

Jessica Halverson, Kids’ Recreation Resort
Jessica is from Roscommon, MI and is a Senior at CMU. She is currently working on a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Her major is in Physical Education with a Minor in School Health Education. Her future plan is to become a physical education teacher in an elementary school. Her previous experience includes working at YMCA Camp Pendalouan for two summers.  Summer 2008 she was a camp counselor and this past summer, 2009 she was the health officer. One unique fact about Jessica is she went bungee jumping off a 175 ft platform.

 

 

Jordan Jankowski, Kids Recreation Resort
Jordann is from Blanchard, MI. She graduated from Montabella High School in 2009 and now is a freshman at CMU. She is currently undecided about what she would like to major in. One unique thing about Jordann is that when she was playing basketball in high school, her team made school history with winning the first girls basketball disricts. Then they went on to win their districts again the following season, which
was her senior year.

   Kelli Waun, Kids Recreation Resort
Kelli is from Bad Axe, MI and is a senior at CMU. She is
currently working on a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Education. Her major is Visual Arts Education and she plans
to teach in a K-12 school after graduation.  Her previous
experience includes working at a sleep away camp in
Massachusetts, a parks and recreation program in Bad Axe, a
day care in Bad Axe, and is involved with the Lunch Buddies
program through Central.  A fun fact about Kelli is that she
really enjoys throwing on the pottery wheel.
